Street Fashion.

I have always said to myself, 'Fashion is living, breathing art. It's an expression of ones self. That's the reason I love it so'. I feel that this quote embodies what street fashion is all about. Expression and art on one blank canvas. The human body. I think this is the reason why taking pictures of street fashion is a joy for me. It enables me to see art and expression from another persons point of view.

I was out in Hackney with two of my friends filming our short film for Media Studies, and this guy passed me on the train platform. His choice of clothing really stood out to me. I think the first thing I noticed was the combination of old looking clothing with new accessories. They fit together really well. I like the brightness of his headphones and how they were positioned around the neck instead of on his head, it almost tied the look together. The checkered shirt featured colours such as greens, blues and whites which was a good match with the washed skinny jeans and green coat. My favorite items had to be his Ted Baker shoes and his Cannon bag. They again, suited the colour palette of the overall style.

I have always adored the style choices of the girl in my class. She seems to have the sort of body type that can pull off just about anything she puts on. One of the styles that I believe she rocks best is what I like to call the 'Insert-Shirt'. This is when you wear a jumper over a shirt like is shown above. I started doing this way back because I think it looks amazing. She also told me that the denim jacket she wears on top is that of her mothers, which is just wicked. it suits the whole image of the outfit. Loose, but not too baggy. Overall, the shoes have to be my favorite part of this look. Since I am quite short, I feel the need to invest in a pair of these. The stitching is just to die for and the colour black goes with just about anything.

While taking some photos with my photographer for a new blog post, This beauty walked in front of us and I just had to talk to him. I loved the necklace on his collar and his use of layering, which I thought, was amazing. The cap that he wears backwards gives off some sort of boyish charm which I also adored. His use of black wasn't over powering because of the introduction of the camo jacket which breaks up his all black outfit. Amazing!

I managed to find this women while I was taking a walk in the forest with two of my friends. Even though she was walking her two dogs, I personally think she's done pretty well in looking good! I was happy that she stopped since this was my first time walking up to someone to take their photo. Anyway, all turned out well.

One of my friends I bumped into while catching the bus. I loved what she was wearing. It was so casual, yet looked so nice and since I had a camera, I took a couple of pictures. The emerald green bag is my favorite piece. It was so light in its weight and seemed to go so well with a casual outfit. The geek glasses was another one of my favorites. I own a pair also and they seem to give ones face a different structure, a different look. But they have to be worn with care, they have the power to make or break an outfit. Here they definitely made it.
