Scarfs, Scarfs, SCARFS!

I thought I'd take a different approach to blogging and put up a video to show different ways to wear scarfs. I saw this on another webpage and loved the video instantly. I hope that the site I got it from doesn't mind. Lets just say im 'borrowing it' for a while :)

The Bag Collection.

I was browsing through my blog and found that I had only done posts on clothing, so I decided to do a post on bags. These are just a few that I thought were the most interesting. Take a look:

The button bag, a long time favorite of mine since I've owned it since 2008/2009 (not sure). I suppose its pretty original, plus I thought if I ever collected badges i could stick them on this bag and it wouldn't look weird. It is from ACCESSORIZE.

This or-fully kawaii (cute) number comes from a shop in Japan called ROOTOTE. I have to admit, all of their bags have an element of cute to them. They are also very original, so forget about anyone else with it.

This brown beauty got purchased in TOPSHOP. I have an addiction with this shop. Literally, the minute I walked in I saw it. Its a very strong bag and its dark color goes with everything you can think of. Also comes with a long shoulder strap which is adjustable.
I got this other light brown beauty online from a Chinese shop called FASHION LADY. I love this bag. It has a absolutely gorgeous feel to it, and it is big enough to hold quite a lot in it. However, heavy things such as books and so on will break the bag. Its kinda on the verge of ripping so I've refrained myself from using it for a while.

I love the look of a bag after its gone through a bit. Especially the edges, the color goes gradually and the material begins to wrinkle. I believe it gives the bag a bit of authenticity, which makes the bag special. I got this in NEW LOOK for school. It is very practical and the color is neutral. It pretty much accompanies itself with every piece of clothing I have.

A Humid Autumn.

From the ending of September to the beginning of October weather in London has been that of how it has been in Miami. Now I'm not complaining, it's beautiful since we didn't get a summer, but now clothing is starting to depict that of summer fashion, and may I stress its autumn. Since that was the case I still decided to stick with my normal attire. Just because there was an element of changed weather doesn't mean I was going to change with it.

Bell bottom jeans is a type of jean I am not really in favor of, but in some cases it is a piece of clothing that does wonders. With this outfit, I didn't mind them as much. The dark blue bell bottoms, are pretty light in terms of weight. It is nice to wear them every once in a while. They are like my 'I can't be bothered' trousers, yet they still look alright. I thought they also matched up with the other dark colors I was wearing. The cardigan, my brown bag and my trainers. A cute striped top from PRIMARK gave my look a final burst of color.

A Day At College.

College is a pretty nice place to be when it come to wearing the clothes you want. There are hardly any restrictions which makes the idea of wearing anything possible. One day to college, I decided to mix smart with casual. I added a light grey blazer on top of a printed tee which I found in H&M along with the blazer. I find this top easy to wear. It's light, airy and goes with pretty much anything since its black and white. My jeans are skinny and are from DOROTHY PERKINS. I will be doing a short section on my shoes later on. Watch this space :)

Birdies, Flowers and Belts.

This is a picture of a dress I bought just a few days ago from a stylish shop called PULL AND BEAR. I took a sneak shot of this dress while trying it on in their changing room.

I just adore the color of the dress as it pops out against my skin tone. The birdie pattern is cute and the belt that came with it can also be used as a belt for jeans or trousers, which is nice because I needed a new one! It has a boat neck which for me is a plus and short selves to keep me feeling cool. Another cute dress that I came across was a pretty, green floral number.

This dress cinches at the waist and then flairs out with pretty ruffles at the bottom. Again, another sneak shot was taken in REPUBLIC's changing room. In the end, as I mentioned at the top, I bought the blue dress from PULL AND BEAR. As i was going to a festival themed garden party, I put together a cute outfit, incorporating the blue dress. The final result:
I added a cute white headband with a wire so it can be bent into any shape possible. A cardigan featured in one of my last posts "The Nordic Way of Life". A silver HELLO-KITTY necklace. Women's brown VANS and ankle socks the same color as the VANS. What do you all think?

Everyone's Chipper For Chinos

Okay, so another installment on trends in fashion.

The chino has been gaining a lot of attention from both men and women as a fashion must have these past few seasons. Chinos are a great item to have in the wardrobe as they can easily blend in with the highs and lows of daytime and the rush of nighttime. Londoners have been quick to spot the latest trend and are high in the moment for the fresh, new and effortless craze of today. Yes, chinos have been out for a while now, but little dared to wear. As fashion expands, so does the interest of the population which leads people to try new things.
Men's Straight leg Chinos from TOPMAN.
What makes the Chino so popular you ask? Well, as I mentioned before, they can be worn during the day and carried on to the night. They almost adapt to your surroundings depending on what other clothing and accessories you chose to pair with them. As well as leaving them long, rolling them up to create a gap showing off your ankles, gives off a summery feel. This is the main look I have seen being sported.

The 'Nordic' Way Of Life.

At the moment, London's fashion seems to be portraying the same sort of patterns but in many different ways. So far the most popular pattern I've been spotting has to be Nordic patterns or red Indian if you like. I kinda took a sneak shot of a cardigan in Miss Selfridge that I loved the look of but couldn't get it because of the lack of money I brought out with me. Take a look:

However, one that I did manage to pick up in Forever 21 is this black and gray cardigan. Have to say, I think these patterns are going to be the main autumn/winter looks. I do hope that this design doesn't become too popular as originality won't be at it's best and that is always a shame.

It's A Personal Thing.

Thought I should write a post on what I like to wear for a change. I wore this look whilst walking in the forest so I wanted to go for appropriate clothing. First, I think Converse is a nice brand to rock. They are super comfortable and work wonders on my feet, which is always good, especially when walking long distances.

I then matched up my black and white Converse with black tights, a long tee from a korean brand which I love and since nobody knows it, therefore to me it seems very original. Under that I sported a pair of black shorts from New Look and finally, on top of that I wore a gold chain, embleshed with a bow and pearls from H&M.

Lastly, because the weather was seriously windy, I decided to put on a knitted cardigan again from H&M to try to keep the chill off. I think the main focus of the cardigan is the patch work on the elbow. I really like this touch and as of late I have seen 'the patch' being sported in my college quite a lot. So it looks to me that patchwork is in season.

The Scarf. Pt 2.

Okay, so I previously did a section on scarfs. For Pt 2, I wanted to do a segment on the other scarfs that I own. I picked out a few examples in which I liked, took some photos and this is the finishing product.

1. The Leopard Print Scarf: In actual fact, this is my mothers scarf, but what i love about it is the pattern. The frilly bits on the side of the scarf, in my opinion, is a cute touch. Another bonus is its weight. It is very light and airy so wearing it during the summer is an option.

2.The Blue, Chunky, Woolen Scarf: My second scarf is a woolen scarf, surprisingly from Primark. I only have good things to say abut this scarf. it is very durable and warm during the winter. Plus when they were being sold, they were available in an array of colors.

  3. The Checkered Black and White Scarf: My third and finial scarf is this black and white triangle scarf. I have loved this pattern ever since i bought it in 2007. This was one of my first scarfs, so it is dear to me. The black and white goes together with basically every color, which makes it easier to match it up with outfits.
